If 2025 had a personality, it would be caffeinated, curious, and permanently halfway out the door to the next meeting.
2025 Unpacked: Complete Cyber's Wins and Global Impact
2025 was a year of bigger conversations, bigger rooms, and projects that genuinely matter. We spent a lot of time talking about cybersecurity, a surprising amount of time travelling, and just enough time standing on stages to remember how bright conference lights are. Here's 2025 Unpacked: Complete Cyber's Wins and Global Impact in a (very busy) Nutshell.
Helping Shape the Future of Rail
One of our standout moments this year was being selected for the HS2 Innovation Accelerator Prorgamme, delivered by Connected Places Catapult. Yes, that HS2.
Through the program, we're developing technology to strengthen the cyber security of digital signaling systems that will support HS2 and are also being rolled out across the wider rail network. Translation: we're helping protect the digital brains behind trains, timetables and everything that keeps the network moving! How cool is that?!
We also became RISQS verified (Supplier ID: 9975). It may not sound glamorous, but in rail terms it's a pretty big deal. Being RISQS verified means we meet the standards expected of suppliers working in the UK rail ecosystem, and it gives partners confidence that we take safety, assurance and governance seriously. Very seriously. Clipboard-level seriously.
Out and About a Lot: 35 Events in One Year
We thought 24 events we did last year was the limit. Turned out, 2025 had other ideas.
This year alone, we attended 35 events, which explains both our expanded network and our impressive collection of conference lanyards. Most of these events were focused on networking, learning, and having the kind of conversation that start with "So, what do you do?" and end with "We should definitely follow up on that."
Our leader, Evan, also stepped into the spotlight as a speaker at three major events:
Connected Places Summit by Connected Places Catapult.
Leakage and Metering Conference, with a pitch presentation.
Operational Technology Security Conference by techUK.
Each talk opened up valuable discussions around cyber security, operational technology and the realities of protecting critical systems, all without putting the audience to sleep, which we continue to count as a success.

A Win for EcoBeacon
2025 also marked an important moment for Cygard, our sister company (which you all formerly known as Vault IoT), which focuses on securing and optimising connected evironments.
EcoBeacon product was selected in a competitive innovation challenge focused on component-level energy monitoring for greener IT operations, supported through Innovate UK Business Connect.
The challenge looks at how organisations can better understand where energy is being used inside digital infrastructure and how to reduce waste without compromising performance. EcoBeacon's selection reflects the growing importance of sustainability in technology and shows how efficiency and security can, in fact, coexist peacefully.
We'll share more once the official announcement is live, but we're quietly very pleased about this one!
What's Next?
2025 was one of those years where momentum quietly turns into speed. We worked on nationally significant systems, met a lot of smart people, and continued to sharpen what we do best.
As we head into 2026, we're bringing that energy with us, of course with more caffeine in hand. Thanks to everyone who's been part of the journey so far. More to come!
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🎅
